On this page is a visual record of every single Blue Ribbon re-issued short whose titles have been publically shown one way or another. Some of these are the result of several years of research, others are very recent discoveries. Some from historic film archives, others from private collections. For ones after 1941, we will try and have images of credits where applicable.

Notes: Frank Tashlin's first Merrie Melodie. Original title sequences were restored in 2005 for Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 3, albeit with an incorrect ending soundtrack. It has been suggested that the backgrounds of the film were redone to include the year "1945" (coincidentally the same year the short was reissued), and most of the film reshot as a result, but given the rather cheap budget of the Warner cartoons, this is most probably not the case.

Musical Direction ~ Carl W. Stalling
MPAA Certificate No. 8314
Notes: Has an unofficial record for the most times the word "mammy" is uttered in a cartoon--37 times. An original title cel exists in Michael Maltese's personal collection, which is being housed by the University of Wyoming. The title cel has been mismatched with a generic red color card.

Story ~ Michael Maltese
Musical Direction ~ Carl W. Stalling
MPAA Certificate No. 8432
Notes: The first Warner Bros. cartoon to feature the voice of June Foray, as well as a change in style for the Sniffles cartoons. This point onward, the cartoons are more comedic, making Sniffles into an obnoxious motormouth. An original title cel exists in Michael Maltese's personal collection, which is being housed by the University of Wyoming. In addition, a black and white photo of the original title exists, showing it mismatched with a background from My Favorite Duck.
Starting here, Vitaphone numbers no longer appear on screen.

Notes: Color remake of 1937's Porky's Badtime Story, with Daffy Duck replacing Gabby Goat. In May 2023, a cel of the character starring credit most likely belonging to this cartoon surfaced in an auction. One listing in a trade magazine gave the title commas (i.e.; Tick, Tock, Tuckered), but as of now, we aren't sure if this is the true title.

Layout and background ~ Hawley Pratt, Paul Julian

Notes: The first appearance of Hector the Bulldog, and the first short where Sylvester dies(!). Also notable because the woodpecker in this film was initially planned to be a recurring foil for Sylvester, but Freleng ended up taking over the unfinished storyboard for The Fat Rat and the Stupid Cat, later Tweetie Pie, permanently pairing up Sylvester and Tweety. An original title cel exists in Michael Maltese's personal collection, which is being housed by the University of Wyoming.
